Caribbean-American Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise for the Greater Washington Area Network (CACCE-GWAN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered at 1616 Isherwood Street NE, Washington, DC 20002. We operate the website www.cacce-gwan.org.

2. Information We Collect

Contact Form. When you submit our contact form, we collect: your full name, email address, organization or business name, your self-described type (e.g. small business, nonprofit), Caribbean country connection(s), and your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and to consider your interest in CACCE-GWAN membership or partnership.

Google Fonts. Our website loads fonts (Montserrat and Cormorant Garamond) from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests these fonts, Google may receive your IP address and browser information. We do not control this data transmission. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. We intend to self-host these fonts in a future update to eliminate this transmission.

GreenGeeks Hosting. Our site is hosted by GreenGeeks. Standard web server logs (IP addresses, page requests, timestamps) may be retained by our hosting provider. We do not actively collect or process these logs for marketing purposes.

Analytics. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioural tracking technology on this website.

Cookies. This website does not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. A session cookie may be set by your browser to protect the contact form against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). This cookie contains no personal information and is deleted when you close your browser.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use contact form submissions to:

• Respond to your inquiry or request.
• Evaluate your interest in membership, partnership, or collaboration.
• Contact you about CACCE-GWAN programs and events, if you consent.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your personal information on the following bases:

• Consent — when you voluntarily submit the contact form.
• Legitimate interests — to respond to inquiries and operate our nonprofit programs.

5. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained in our email for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of your inquiry. We review and purge inactive records periodically. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 7).

Our website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including CSRF protection on our contact form, HTTPS encryption, and HTTP security headers. No method of internet transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website contains links to external sites (social media, partner organisations, event platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting personal information.
