Caribbean Defined: Often used interchangeably with the Caribbean Area, Caribbean Basin, Caribbean Plate, Caribbean Region and Caribbean Sea, the Caribbean is actually comprised of all of the countries that touch the Caribbean Sea either culturally, historically, ideologically or physically. We are a water people — the Caribbean Sea unites us and contributed directly to the spreading of our diverse culture to the countries in and on the Caribbean Sea.
